Aluminium Rainwater Pipes

Aluminium Rainwater Pipes

Aluminium Rainwater Pipes

(OP)
We need  200 metres of  Aluminium fall pipes to collect salt laden rainwater from a bridge deck.     70 pieces,   150 mm dia  in 3 mtrs lenghts of Cast Aluminium  each with its  support bracket.
Or we use extruded pipe with a cast bracket attached by welding.
The pipes will not be accessible again for 100 yrs.( Yes,  100 yrs )
We realise the importance of exact similarity of materials  for the welding and also  for the  fixing bolts,  but please,  we welcome any comments and criticism. At present we are unsure of the Spec for the Aluminium. Thank in anticipation of comments.

RE: Aluminium Rainwater Pipes

I'm not familar with 100-years uses of aluminum, but note:

ASTM B744/B744M, 'Standard Specification for Aluminum Alloy Sheet for Corrugated Aluminum Pipe,'
and
ASTM B745/B745M-97(2005) Standard Specification for Corrugated Aluminum Pipe for Sewers and Drains' specify using alclad 3004 for storm water drainage, underdrains, culverts, etc.
ASTM B746/B746M,Standard Specification for Corrugated Aluminum Alloy Structural Plate for Field-Bolted Pipe, Pipe-Arches, and Arches' specifies 5052-H141.

Attachment hardware includes 6063-T54 rivets, 6061-T6 nuts & bolts, 6063-T6 angles, 304, 321 or 316 (incl. 'L' grades)  SS nuts & bolts, hot dip galvanized or very heavily zinc-plated steel straps, rubber gaskets per ASTM D1056 for the 'RE' closed cell grades, rubber o-rings per ASTM C443.
