Question about FAG "H76" suffix

Question about FAG "H76" suffix

(OP)
Does anybody know what means H76 suffis on spherical roller bearings from FAG?

Thanks,

RE: Question about FAG "H76" suffix

H usually refers to an adapter sleeve, but H76 doesn't match anything.
My guess is a date code or batch number or something else which is insignificant

RE: Question about FAG "H76" suffix

H7 is a bearing housing clearance specification.  Maybe it means the clearance is between H6 and H7 but you will have to check with FAG.

H76 means the bearing has a spiral groove on the bore.  This is usually used in rolling mill applications to inject grease between the shaft and inner race to allow for easier removal.
