In the brazing of copper to iron, what does anybody know of copper embrittlement happening?

RE: Copper Embrittlement

I have done a lot of Hydrogen and vacuum Copper furnace brazing of steel and some Iron and don't recall any embrittlement problems.  Maybe you mean cast iron which possibly could be a problem?  When you say Iron, I think of elemental Iron or very low carbon steel whereas cast iron has high carbon.

Give us a few details.  Do you have an embrittlement problem or just being cautious because you think you might have a problem?
