How do I determine and define the time scale?

How do I determine and define the time scale?

How do I determine and define the time scale?

(OP)
Hi,

I'm modelling a simple dynamic problem where a structure is being deformed by a constant force.  How can I know which time scale is being used by the solver?  It's not always in seconds, is it?

ABAQUS is very new to me, so you'll probably find a steady stream of trivial questions comming from this user.  I appreciate all you help.

Regards,
Peter

RE: How do I determine and define the time scale?

The units used by the solver depends on the units of the input quantities. The user is solely responsible to infer the correct units of the output quantities based on the consistency of the units used for the input quantities.
