Convert Drawing to Feet and Inches

Convert Drawing to Feet and Inches

(OP)
I have a drawing that was done in decimal units that I need to convert to feet and inches. On the original each 1.0 in decimal = 1 foot. I did a format units and changed it to architectural but now it is scaled wrong. Something that should be 1' is now just 1" ... how do I fix this?

RE: Convert Drawing to Feet and Inches

Scale (gulp) by a factor of 12.

RE: Convert Drawing to Feet and Inches

You could scale your drawing up to 1:1 or you could change your "Dim Scale Linear", to 12.  This is located in properties, primary units.  You could also change it in your Dim Style.

Regards

RE: Convert Drawing to Feet and Inches

While your on the subject, does any body know how to change
architectual (feet&inches) and convert to inches?

RE: Convert Drawing to Feet and Inches

Yeah change your dimension to Fractional and put " in your Dim suffix.

A comment on the post from Darken99.
If you do that you should add it as part of a New "Use for" liniar style ( sub set of the current style) so you don't get the " on the angular dimensions.
