anyone using this combination?

had any problems?

RE: Catia and Gainward GeForce 7600GT

Every GeForce card I tried with CATIA ended with CATIA crashing as soon as model reaches certain size.

what version of catia?

I've got a crash using latest forceware v93.71 and Catia V5R16, later I've tried installing V5R10 and got a crash again
Will try installing V5R17 (and latest Service Pack for Catia)

RE: Catia and Gainward GeForce 7600GT

You will have to upgrade your video card to the Quadro series or other certified video cards.

I'm not using Catia so often to buy a pro graphic card

I've got an error message:
Runtime exception
Click OK to terminate

I was using ATI graphic and few days ago I bought a new one
 - nVidia 7600GT
I haven't done a full reinstall of XP
Seem like a a graphic driver screw up
Anyone had a similar message?

RE: Catia and Gainward GeForce 7600GT

I ran a 7950GT without too much problems (at least without fatal runtime exceptions) for a month.

But I did have to use/try different drivers.  The latest drivers did not seem to work so well.  That was with R16.

RE: Catia and Gainward GeForce 7600GT

For the professional cards, nVidia has a set of drivers that are "Dassault certified". And they are way behind the latest release of the drivers (speaking of release date and version), but they are stable with Catia.

Bottom-line: the latest drivers are not necessarily the best option... For non-professional cards, I think it takes some testing to find the optimal drivers.

Steli
