importing iges file from pro-E, having difficulty

(OP)
Is is possible to import an iges file that does not result in a 'dumb' model, where it's purely representational(can't use like a normal .dwg file)
Or is there a way to deliver a .prt to a .dwg?  I also have access to solidworks, and maybe some more while i'm at school.  And unigraphics... I know solidworks can now import .prt files (though i haven't had it work yet) ?

Thanks,

-way way too late with way too much caffeine.. agh!
