GE Quickpanel/devicenet/versamax help

GE Quickpanel/devicenet/versamax help

(OP)
I have a machine that runs a Versamax plc ( programmed in Versapro) and a Quickpanel view. Both are connected via a GE BEM103 devicenet ncm card. I have created a commreq. in Versapro and have sent it to the module which returns a code of okay " network operation can proceed. My question is how often do you send this commreq. to the module. right now I have it set up so the data is sent once during machine power up through a fst_scn contact. basically the Quickpanel will just have 5 pushbuttons on it that turn on various %m bits in the plc logic. At this point I am not sure what other code is needed other than the commreq. in the plc program to keep the network in operation and transferring data. Thanks for the help, this is all new to me.

RE: GE Quickpanel/devicenet/versamax help

Hello;
     If the commreq is being used to send data to/from the Quickpanel, then you will need to execute it as often as you want to update the Quickpanel.
