Pressure Vessel Design

Pressure Vessel Design

Pressure Vessel Design

(OP)
The need is a pressure vessel that can transport a possible flamable liquid, handle inlet pressures of 1000 psi from a 1 in. inlet hose (worst case scenario), and be transportable with a forklift/truck.

Here are some of the specs we are looking for:

1.  Possible pressures of 1000 psi.
2.  DOT approved.
3.  Around a 500 gallon tank.
4.  Easy to move with a forklift.
5.  Some way to measure the level in the tank.

Also, a vent including possibly a flame arrestor and demister.

The hose (1 in.) leading into the tank is manually operated to throttle (with a valve) the liquids into the tank.  It can have pressures as high as 950 - 1000 psi.  One of the major concerns is that the tank still be safe even if the valve was accidentally or erroneously opened to full throttle.

I have been in contact with a few vendors, but it is a very difficult design.  Any prior experience with this or vendors that can handle this design would be appreciated.
