Backwashable Membrane 0.2 to 2 microns. Intersted in the rejection
Backwashable Membrane 0.2 to 2 microns. Intersted in the rejection
(OP)
Research Group in the aquaculture field intersted in the rejected product of a backwashable membrane filtering in the 0.2 - 2 microns range.
Anyne could suggested the 'best' membrane for this application.
Proper pre-filtration units will be installed.
Thanks in advanced.

RE: Backwashable Membrane 0.2 to 2 microns. Intersted in the rejection
The tubular units have less membrane surface area per unit but can accept larger and more concentrated solids.
The hollow fiber units have more surface area but good prefiltration is required and high concentration of solids can create plugging.
If you are interested in concentrating a product, usually you would use a tubular product because you want higher concentrations of solids that hollow fiber can't do.
In more detail of exactly what membrane material you would use depends on temperature, corrosivity, flow rate, and what you are filtering. You could use a polymeric, or ceramic membranes depending on the application.
I'm would be happy to reccomend a membrane supplier or membrane system fabricator if I know more about the application.
