Ok...I looked quick but I couldn't find any fix or reason to the problem I am having. We use snapshots for representation of wiring configurations in our electro-mechanical assemblies. When a note or a note with a leader is used to define an object in the picture, the text hides behind the image. You click the image and select 'send to back' all is good...you now can see the text and leader. Save, close...bla, bla, bla. When the file is opened again, the picture is hiding the text like before. One other issue is it seems random...as in one file with the same pic will do this and another will not. Has anyone heard of this and how is it fixed? I have heard and read some of the problems with images in drawing files so I'll extend an invitation for humorous replies too smile

RE: Insert BMP, text hides behind object...

Hi Edson,

Images are always on top of text in SWX (as far as I know).

So what I do is: add text to the image on an image editor.

Hopefully others may have better ideas.

As for humour, I looked at the CADRA website and they are 2.5D, that is right not 2D nor 3D but 2.5D

Best regards,

I never use pics/images on dwgs, one reason as you mention. Also, making multiple copies and faxing the dwgs do not work. You will have better luck drawing from scratch or using a 3rd party software for creating wiring/schematics.

josephv...that's interesting that CADRA is considered 2.5D. I am really not sure what that means. I can't bash the software though...it provided a paycheck when I needed it most. I like your tip and it will be considered.

ctopher...I know exactly what you mean but the drive is to make all (or most) info reside in a SW world. Eventually you won't see Cadra 2006 in my signature winky smile
