Don't Have Any Fill Head on Steam Traps

Don't Have Any Fill Head on Steam Traps

(OP)
I will be putting some steam reheat coils into ductwork that is supported right on the floor.  This will leave me with no vertical head before my steam traps.  I could run the piping over several feet (in one case probably as much as 100') and then drop down and put the traps there.  But, is it a good idea to have so much piping between the coil and the trap?  There is no other way to get head on the traps.  Any ideas?  Is there a style of trap that is more forgiving in this circumstance?  Steam pressure is 15 psig entering the control valve.  Condensate discharges to a vented tank with at most a 2' vertical rise from where the lower traps would be.

Call in your Spirax or Armstrong rep and show him the drawings.  They know their jobs and they love getting out of their offices.  Make use of them - they will give you better advice than most of us here can.
