Shell & Tube Exchanger

Shell & Tube Exchanger

Shell & Tube Exchanger

(OP)
Hi All,

I have a question:Regarding our specification,the preferred limitation on removable bundle diameter is 60  inches (1524 mm).But our contractor made a comment to minimize the number of parallel-arranged chiller and the diameter of cooler 1800 mm (non removable bundle, on shell side is refrigerant agent propane)
Let me know your idea that whats technical reason for this comment?and it should be accepted?

Thank you very much

RE: Shell & Tube Exchanger

farzam;
If the contractor has taken an exception to your technical specification, go back and ask them in to put it in writing why they took exception. This is the only way you are going to be able to determine if it is acceptable.

Dear metengr

As I found for this matter,the contractor deviation is related to cost, and no technical reason is behind this decision.
I just wanna know that following contractor comment, has not any technical problem

Thanks
