(OP)
hi, I have the following problem: I can´t do the comunication between one temperatura transmitter and the PC to to the calibration. I´m usin a raytek infrared transmitter I believ that the problem is on the DB25 to DB9 adapter, Where can I find the pin configuration for this raytek hart adapter?,

RE: hart protocol adapters

I suppose any vendor can use any connector, but I've never seen HART on a DB-9 connector, except for a HART modem, which strips the HART signal off the 4-20mA and then goes digital (RS-232) via a driver to a Windows app, like the Siemens PDM configuration tool.

Most times D connectors are for serial signals, not analogs.

Are you sure your Raytek device has a HART signal riding on the 4-20mA signal coming out of a DB connector?

Raytek's US site returns zero hits for HART.

HART's release list of DDs for 2006 No.3 at

http://www.hartcomm.org/technical/dd_library/dd_library_main.html

has no listing for Raytek.

Are you sure your device has HART?
