file saving / purge

(OP)
Hi All,

I am trying to find a way to be able to open a product/assy and save into a separate directory (on my hard drive) all the files used in that product.

Is there a way other than using the save management? - This is possible in other Systems.

Thanks - Kevin

RE: file saving / purge

Kevwoogs,

You can use FILE/SEND TO command

If you need new parts with the different UUIDs use FILE/NEW FROM.

Just what I was looking for!!

Thanks

RE: file saving / purge

Kevwoogs - You can set your options to look in relative folder first, folder of link, folder of pointed document.

This will allow Catia to search the path of document load. For example: Offline the job folder from the server to a DVD disk.  you could put the disk into the dvd drive on another machine and load the part correctly.

Tools -> Options -> General -> Document.

Regards,
Derek

RE: file saving / purge

Hi,

Just be careful with the Search Order. Create one txt file (export from where Derek said) with your prefered paths where you are trying to open files and check it if its loaded when you need that order.

Regards
Fernando
