Calculate Fuel Engine Fuel Consumption per hour

(OP)
I have an engine's fuel consumption in lb/hp-hr. How would I calculate the fuel gal consumption per hour knowing the hp at a given rpm?

RE: Calculate Fuel Engine Fuel Consumption per hour

You can convert lbs to gallons if you know the density of the fuel.  Then for a given engine speed, you can look up the horsepower.

Multiply horsepower, brake specific fuel consumption, and the inverse of the density of the fuel (units of gallons/lb).  This will give you gallons per hour.
