RE: SPACEBALL

Nice. ..

What version of spaceball and drivers do you have?  Does Windows appear to see it in the devices area?  Is it USB, serial, ? connection?

RE: SPACEBALL

First, assuming you have loaded the driver, you need to make sure it's running. Start/Programs/3Dconnexion/3Dconnexion3DXware/Start Driver
Once the driver is running (there should be an icon in your tool tray) make sure you have the add-in activated in SolidWorks.
Also, if you have the 5000 USB, you might need to download the 3DxOffice Plug-in. On the page that smcadman gave you the link for, select your product, then 'Archive (Legacy Software), then 3DxOffice Plug-in.

Hope this helps.

RE: SPACEBALL

install/reinstall driver after solidworks is installed.

The driver adds the add-ins as it sees programs that can use it.

RE: SPACEBALL

Is there a Spaceball 5000 USB driver for Windows XP Pro x64 available? I couldn't find any mention at www.3dconnexion.com. With the x32 driver, my Spaceball would work in SW but wouldn't in almost any other application.
