STEP translation and density

STEP translation and density

(OP)
Hi SEdgers

We have to supply a STEP translation to another company (using Pro-E) - the assembly contains a lot of parts with different densities.  In our type of business mass is quite important but we cannot get the STEP file to carry over the density values.  I have been under the impression that by now this has been incorporated into the STEP standard?!  And, thought I once got this right...

We tried various STEP exporting options (including AP214 protocol) but the densities are being dropped - even when reading back the file ourselves.  As we only install every 2nd release, we are still using SEdge v18.

Thanks for any comments/tips.

Regards
Gert
