Reference Micrographs
Reference Micrographs
(OP)
Can anyone recommend a good reference for standard micrographs? ASM Handbook Volume 9: Metallography and Microstructures is one reference that I found, but I don't know if there are any others. The reason I am asking is because I am interested in obtaining some reference micrographs of low alloy steel material (particularly grade 91, 92, 23, 22, 122, etc.) that show the different microstructures, both in properly treated and improperly treated material, so that I can have a better understanding of what a good microstructure looks like and so that I can interpret replications performed on this type of material in existing plants.

RE: Reference Micrographs
There are several papers that deal with aging of creep strength enhanced ferritic steels. Please see the following;
"Understanding Damage Mechanisms in Ferritic/Martensitic Steels", RW Swindeman, Oak Ridge National Laboratory
paper presented at 17th Annual Conference on Fossil Energy Materials, 2003
" An Introduction to the 9Cr-1Mo- V Alloys" Valve Magazine,
