NACE MR0175-2002 edition?

NACE MR0175-2002 edition?

(OP)
Hi.

I'm Xeros.

I must select the pressure vessel materials as per NACE MR0175-2002.
I already have MR0175-1997, 2000, 2001, 2003 & ISO15156:2003.

However, I have never seen and heard about the NACE MR0175, 2002 edition.

Has MR0175-2002 been published?

If published, How can I get the 2002 edition.

I can not find MR0175 2002 edition in NACE web site store.

I need your help at the earlies.

Regards,

I haven't read the preface to MRO175 lately, but are you allowed to use old editions or are you obligated to use hte most current?

RE: NACE MR0175-2002 edition?

Forget the 2002 edition.  Stick with ISO 15156 and all its technical corrigenda.

RE: NACE MR0175-2002 edition?

It does make sense if one doesn't want to worry about pH2S, chlorides, and temperature for a number of alloys.  It also makes sense if one doesn't want to worry about HIC and SOHIC in carbon steels.  Of course, that approach wouldn't make sense in a court of law!

You can purchase almost any old editions of standards at IHS Global Standards.

RE: NACE MR0175-2002 edition?

I believe that the user may replace materials in kind in existing wells....if the design basis has not changed.
This would allow using older versions of NACE, and save considerably in material cost.
Of course, new projects should use the latest standards.

RE: NACE MR0175-2002 edition?

Think you have to contact directly NACE. If there is someone that can tell you all about a revision of NACE MR 0175 it's NACE.

hope this help
