Break Lines in Draft File

Break Lines in Draft File

Break Lines in Draft File

(OP)
Greetings,
I use break lines periodically in drawings, and I was showing a peer this feature, however, on their machine, once the break lines were placed, I was unable to pick them in order to delete them from the view.  I have transferred thier part and draft files to my pc and it works fine, so my question is: does anyone know if there is some global setting that could restrict me being able to pick those break lines to delete them?  right now, we have to delete the entire view and add it back.
FYI, using V17, hoping to go to V20 this summer just to get caught up.
Thanks,
