Free 2D software vs. Solid Edge Viewer (non-compatible?)

(OP)
We have a couple of application engineers that would like to install the free 2D software package but cannot because they need the Solid Edge Viewer that is already on their computer.  Is there anyway to install both programs on the same computer?

RE: Free 2D software vs. Solid Edge Viewer (non-compatible?)

You can I believe, from what was said at PLM world last year, get a license for the 2D version.  I believe this would solve the problem.  However, that does incur some cost though presumably less than for a full seat.
