Suggestions for plastcs in tool handles to resist hammer impacts

(OP)
Can anyone suggest a material best suited to resist hammer impacts on tool handles, such as screwdrivers and other things most everyone beats up on?
Thanks for your suggestions.

Poycarbonates are available with high impact resistance.
Used in many sporting goods. Helmets, etc.

Radel is a possible candidate for your application.  We have manufactured many handle injection molds that are designed for Radel, specifically for the surgical market for doctors that are not always careful with their instruments.  Good luck!

I had a job where we needed insane impact resistance.  We ended up with Dow Isoplast 101LGF60, which is a polyurethane with 60% long glass fibers.  It requires a fair size gate but it is harder than the hinges on the gates of hell.  Look at the IZOD impact numbers.

A cheaper solution might be any glass-filled nylon. Ask your molder.
