Can someone please tell me what "Altitude without Derating" means with respect to Power supply units

RE: Meaning of "Altitude without Derating"

It is the highest altitude you can run a device without derating it. Derating is necessary since air is less dense at higher altitudes and hence has less cooling capacity. The altitude is usually around 1000 m - which means that "Mile High City" Denver should have some concern with drives and other power electronics. Ski lifts at higher altitudes are another example.
