i want to know what would be the effect of the reduction on the hp? how much would it go down? thanks

Slight loss of HP due to friction and churning in geartrain.

Figure on at least 2% per gear pair, if they are spur gears, or at least 20% if it is a worm drive

what if there is a sprocket (chain) included in the reduction system, this chain connects a 180mm diameter gear with a 500mm gear? what would be the loss?

Say 2.5% for a lubricated chain drive.
