Mirrored part drawing

(OP)
Hi all,
Ive mirrored a part and re named it (right vs. left). When I create the drawing for the mirrored part, the views come in slightly skewed, i.e. front is not true front, etc. The mirror plane I used is correct and in the assembly the two parts view correctly. Any thoughts?
SW2005 sp5.0
Thanks

RE: Mirrored part drawing

If your plane is correct, I'm not sure why it would be skewed.  You could always select a face on the mirrored part and update your standard views.

Have you read FAQ731-376 to make the best use of Eng-Tips Forums?

Thanks MM
To reset the standard views I would need to get a true view.
Any ideas.Thanks

RE: Mirrored part drawing

If the mirror plane is OK, then that doesn't make sense! Can you post the files for us to examine?

cheers

Hi all
I didnt seem right to me as well. I re created the part and it was fine. I must've messed with the original mirror plane somehow. Thanks again
