Hi

Anyone who uses WF3.0 with windows vista? Can't find much info on www.PTC.com

RE: proe Wildfire 3.0 and windows vista

I doubt it will run. UGS's NX doesn't and neither does AutoCAD 2007.

I installed vista on my laptop for a while and installed WF3.0. On my laptop I use a local license server. I seems like Proe starts normally, but I couldnt run the license server as a service. So i got a license error, and proe shut down.
The laptop has no access to our network here at work, so I couldnt try to use a license from our license server.

I don't know why anyone would want to use any new products from Windows. Is DOS still included along with all the older Windows executables.

I do believe that Micros-oft might have put some things in like the Run in Compatibility mode for Win 95/98 or 2000 like XP can do.

If you happen to like Vista you could also partition your drive and have it dual boot so you can choose XP to run Pro/E or Vista if you don't need to use Pro/E.

The slowness is caused by you not running an OpenGL graphics druver for Vista.
