Set dresser killed on Toronto movie site

Canadian Press

TORONTO — A 56-year-old set dresser was killed by a collapsing concrete wall Thursday on the set of a Samuel L. Jackson movie in Toronto.

David Ritchie and two other men were taking apart the wall around 2 p.m. on the set of the sci-fi thriller Jumper when it collapsed.

Police say Mr. Ritchie was buried by sand, wood and frozen debris attached to the wall, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

One other man was taken to hospital with serious neck and back injuries, while the third man was unharmed.
