Suppressing pattern occurance from variable

Is it possible to suppress an occurrence in a pattern from a variable?

I have a large pattern, and would like to omit some of the occurrences based on a calculation, but from what I can find, it seems like suppressing an occurrence can only be done dynamically.

You are correct.  Occurence suppression can only be performed graphically from within the command.

Thanks Scott.  This is what I thought too.

It seems odd that this can not be done.  Solid Edge seems like such a complete system, and this must be a feature that others would appreciate.  I can't help but wonder if there is another way of accomplishing this.

Seems to me to be a common requirement, such as a pattern of holes that could change relative to a variable driven feature, it could be necessary to suppress some of the holes based on that geometry.

What I am trying to accomplish is similar to this, where I need to suppress occurrences and have other items react to those suppressions.

I see that you can apply Variable based feature suppressions, and I might be able to make this work, but essentially I will be creating a pattern manually that needs to change based on variable input.

Could be a challenge.

Tim
