WHITE METAL BEARING OIL FILM STIFFNESS

(OP)
Dear Friends,

I am trying to prepare a spreadsheet for calculating heat generation in a bearing consisting of a steel shaft running over white metal bearings with oil (hydrodynamic bearings).

So far I have been investigating the heat generation, sommerfeld number and so on, using the formulas and curves from Shigley Mechanical engineering design book and some other references.

The problem is that there a lot of curves (Raymondi boyd) which I would like to find in a parametric format, (or formula).

Can somebody guive any guidance or advice?

Regards,
