Explode in 2007

We have just upgraded from SW2003 to SW2007.  I am trying to figure out how to explode assembly views.

On SW2003, it is possible to select component patterns for exploding purposes.  All you have to do is select an original pattern component.  That component plus any other pattern components you click on will select the whole pattern.  This seems to be missing on 2007.

Is there a way in SW2007 to select pattern by pattern?

RE: Explode in 2007

The explode command recognises them as individual components.  If you pick them all it does group them together.  So the answer to your question would be no as far as I understand the command.

While you can't simply select one of the components of the pattern, thereby selecting the whole pattern, you can expand the pattern in the flyout tree and shift select the parts there. Quicker and easier than clicking on each part.

   Thanks.

One step forward, two steps back.  I have been selecting from the flyout tree, but it was no nice to get the whole pattern with one click.

   Oh well.
