RE: OSNAPS

I used to sit next to a guy who told me that Associative Dimensioning didn't work for him, so he didn't use it at all.

I had been assigned to take his 2D drawings and use them to quickly build 3D models.  It was impossible.  The corners either didn't meet, or overlapped, all by about the same amount: .003".

It turned out he had been working for years with all osnaps on, as running osnaps, including 'NEAR', which is where the .003" error came from.

At least, leave that one off...

ahh Thanks for the info, I do 3d Modelling as well, I make sure I have the end snap selected, I don't use nearest or apparent interesction all that much...

I also have ran into drawing files where the operator had chosen to never use ortho in his 2d files, that frove me nuts!

What drive me nuts, is a drawing made using snaps!
