Hi,
Which is the good power analyzer for inverter duty motor test ? Yokogawa is one, any body else?

Txs.

RE: Power analyzer for inverter duty motor

For low investment equipment, I have used FLUKE 43B, Power Quality Analyzer.

RE: Power analyzer for inverter duty motor

Voltech's PM3000 is a good insrument. It has been replaced by the PM6000 as the top-of-the-line offering but is still available. The best recommendation is that if mine broke down I would buy another one just the same to replace it (unless I could afford the PM6000 wink).

I have used (not bought) a Yokogawa. It performed extremely well. If you have the money - that's the way to go.

Norma 5000 (a Fluke company) is a good power analyzer, is it? I've searched the web, it sounds like okay to me, but not sure the price.
Yokogawa should be a perfect device , but it's extremly expensive.....

RE: Power analyzer for inverter duty motor

The Yokogawa WT2030 a consultant brought on our site did not perform at all well when connected to the 110V secondaries of a 3-phase VT group with a grounded phase instead of a grounded neutral. Not sure if that has been addressed on later designs. The Voltech worked without issue. Other than that, Yokogawa's analysers are nice toys to have.
