General Questions

(OP)
Hi All,

I've got a couple of questions,

1. Is there any way in Catia that you can measure or record the amount of time that someone works on a file?

2. When using save management is there some sort of setting that keeps the window fully open so you can see all file names and their locations? I find it a little annoying to constantly have to drag the window larger.

Thanks in advance to all who respond!

RE: General Questions

Hi,

1. There are some txt files which are created automatically by CATIA called AbendTrace_....and SessionInfoFile_...where you have a lot of informations....this is in a Windows environment, just do a search for files which are starting with this names in your computer. In the same folder you will find also a log file...

2. Why don't you click on the columns headers to sort the files after what criteria you want (modified, opened a.s.o.)?

Fernando

Hi ferdo,

Tip #2 is very helpful, thanks.

I will look into tip #1 when I get a chance.

Thanks again,

RE: General Questions

Thixoguy - have you looked into Tools - Options - General - Statistics.  Depending on your structure, it might be hard to track a specific file.  If the file was opened at 9am, did the operator perform some functions????  With the statistics you can track workbench and commands.

Regards,
Derek
