Inserting global variables into design table

Inserting global variables into design table

Inserting global variables into design table

(OP)
If I have a variable designed to be configuration specific, in this case the pitch of a roof, but no physical dimension representing that, can I enter it in a design table?  I could determine the angle and enter that for each new configuration, but I'd rather be able to simply enter the pitch, 2/12, 4/12, etc.  The design table won't accept "Pitch" or Pitch or "Pitch@Equations."

Solution for the curious novices like me: you can insert values off to the right of the design table, and Solidworks won't look at them as parameters.  So, I put my pitch in one of those columns, and used it in an equation in the design table to drive a dimension.
