Does Solidworks have a tool that makes it as easy to check wall thickness of a part as it is to check draft?

How do you usually do it?

RE: wall thickness analysis

Yes, there's a "Thickness Analysis" option included with the SolidWorks Utilities add-in.

thank you

I do not have that add in. So I'll have to do it manually.

RE: wall thickness analysis

If you have to do it manually I would recommend making a drawing with a lot of section views.

RE: wall thickness analysis

That's something I normally track while building the model.  In complex parts I'll label my shell and rib features with the thickness (such as Shell-0.080)--keeps things simple along the way.  I like dgowans' suggestion if you're working with imported stuff.

Reason trumps all.  And awe transcends reason.
