How to create a break in a projection line

(OP)
Hi,

I'm in need of creating a break in a projection line as I have two that a very close together and both require a machining tick to be applied to them... I've tried what I think are all the methods available with out any luck. Does someone here have the answer?

Cheers,

M

RE: How to create a break in a projection line

The rumor is that in V20 this will be possible.  Until then this is the workaround.

1. Create a small text box where you want the break.
2. Add a white fill color to the text box
3. If necessary use the "brint to front" or "send to back" options to make sure the text box covers the dimension line
4.  Make sure when you print the option "print all colors as black" in unchecked else you will print out a black box.

Hi,

Thanks for the work around, though it wasn't quite suited to my work as I do indeed have the 'print all colours black'... So I took y our idea and used Excel. Copy a single cell that you have filled white, paste it into SE and follow the rest of what you suggested.

Thank you!

M
