Could anyone tell me if you can make custom smart fasteners?
I need to make rivits into smart fasteners.

I tried that, that isn't really what I want to do.

I made all the sizes of rivits I need.

Now I want to make them smart in a way that when inserted they will automaticly change in length not dia..

Let me explain what I am doing.

I have a wing that I am building, and I need all the fasteners in the wing.
So what I want to do is create smart fasteners, create a lpattern of the holes, and click populate model.

I don't see how using smart components will work.

Do you have any other suggestions.

Thank you for your time.

RE: Smart Fasteners

I don't think you can make them change in length. The parts would not know what length to make. You can make different length smart components.

RE: Smart Fasteners

My opinion....I would stay away from Smart Fasteners. I would manually put a part (having configurations) in and array using "component pattern".
