Hydro X/R Ratio

SKM always assume X/R=8 no matter what you enter for hydro 3P MVA contribution. I have seen for 44KV X/R=8 and for 27.6KV X/R=12.I appreciate any feedback on this subject.

Thank you,

RE: Hydro X/R Ratio

As an assumption for X/R, I always preferred to use 15. You are correct, SKM uses 8; other packages don't provide an assumption. The actual value, determined from the sequence impedances, is always the best way to go.

Thanks Dandel,
Do you also use X/R=15 for L-G X/R ratio?

RE: Hydro X/R Ratio

As an assumption, yes.
