Here's one for you guys. Rack sprinklers

Here's one for you guys. Rack sprinklers

(OP)
Back to back double row racks having solid shelves with heads 10' on center staggered between tiers of storage.

Flue space is 6" and every third set of racks straddles the building columns which are 6" steel rounds spaced 40' on centers.

What obstruction clearances apply when the sprinklers get close to the columns?

RE: Here's one for you guys. Rack sprinklers

If I understand what you are asking, I would just apply the "three times" rule and stay 18" away from the columns.

RE: Here's one for you guys. Rack sprinklers

None, see NFPA 13, 02 section 8.13.5 In-racks sprinklers not required to follow obstruction criteria of section 8.5.
