OK, coming from IDEAS where you can pick features to be displayed (like C/L of a hole), HOW can one do this in UGNX4??

RE: Display centerlines in 3D view

If you are using Master Model technique then you have to include the Axes for the holes in your reference set and control their display in the drawing views with Layers.

There are infered axes that display in modeling when you are creating associative planes in modeling but I don't think these can be displayed in drafting like you can in ProE or Solidworks.

You might also try the auto centerline icon but I think that only works for 2D views.

RE: Display centerlines in 3D view

With a single part, no assemblies, I know of no way to display the theoretical centerlines in the same manner I-DEAS does.  I prefer many of the display/modeling options in I-deas, particularly the 3D annotation compared to NX.  UGS makes you purchase an entire module for that functionality :\  I feel it should be a standard feature for those with a modeling license.

Some people are like slinkies....they don't really have a purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

I agree with Tim

I alao agree.  We shouldn't have to shell out even more $$$ to meet Y14.41.

I do love IDEAS display options - seems there's nothing close in UG (or Catia for that matter)... thanks for the responses and sorry for the noob questions!!
