How to set spaceball rotation center?

How to set spaceball rotation center?

How to set spaceball rotation center?

(OP)
Hi folks,

I am using a spaceball, which I couldn't live without, but I can't figure out how to set a rotation center in a 3D model.  There is an icon, titled 'set rotation center'.  When I pick it, I get a popup that says 'select an object', but when I try to do that, it won't accept my pick.  So, I am stuck with rotating about 0,0,0 which is a pain for a large assembly.  Any ideas?

RE: How to set spaceball rotation center?

Select your object/vertex/face first... then click the icon.
