Saving Cell Array to ASCII file as delimited row and column data

Saving Cell Array to ASCII file as delimited row and column data

Saving Cell Array to ASCII file as delimited row and column data

(OP)
I have a program that loads data from a delimited file (rows and columns) into a cell array using textscan:
DAT=textscan(fid,'%s%f%f%f%f%f%f%f%f%s%f%f%f%f%f%f',nrows_file_load, 'headerlines', 2, 'delimiter',',');

I modify the first column in DAT and now want to save the modified DATA it to another file as rows and columns in a deliminted ASCII format similar to the original. In other words I want to reverse the textscan function. Any ideas would be appreciated.

RE: Saving Cell Array to ASCII file as delimited row and column data

Dan hi,
I suggest you to use
fid=fopen('data.txt','w')
fprintf(fid,'%s%f%f%f%f%f%f%f%f%s%f%f%f%f%f%f',nrows_file_load, 'headerlines', 2, 'delimiter',',')
fclose(fid)

It should work.

Good luck...

AAD
