High Density Polyethylene with UV protection?

High Density Polyethylene with UV protection?

High Density Polyethylene with UV protection?

(OP)
I am in the beginning stages of a product development and need help determining the most appropriate raw materials for my product.

The basic concept of our product will require SMOOTH High Density Polyethylene sheets with properties/consistency/ performance similar to that of cutting boards (but does not have to be FDA approved). Since our product will be used both indoor and outdoor it requires an additive to prevent deterioration by the elements and UV rays.

I have contacted several extruders without any success. Is there anybody out there that can help me determine what Materials I can use?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Robert

Robert

Black HDPE has superior IR/UV resistance - we use it for outdoor applications - large storage tanks.
