composition of the diesel smoke produce at diesel burners of boilers

(OP)
Hi all,

I require the composition of diesel smoke produced at the diesel combustion in steam boilers.
I only requir the average values of composition based on the volume of the basic gases that exist in the diesel smoke.
for example;
CO......... % by volume
CO2.........% by vloume
N2..... and all possible gases within diesel smoke for an average combustion condition.

thanks .

RE: composition of the diesel smoke produce at diesel burners of boilers

For stiochiometric combustion of light diesel you would have
12.3 Moles of C02
11.1 Moles of H2O
17.85 Moles N2

the problem is that diesel will combust at a wide range of air/fuel ratios, depending on the fuel composition, injection timing, etc. so this is a very rough estimate of the actual combustion products

For "all possible gases within diesel smoke for an average combustion condition", you would also have some NOx, H2S, etc in much smaller amounts, but they could be of particular concern, depending what you need this information for.
