Multi Needle process (4-20mA) meters

Multi Needle process (4-20mA) meters

Multi Needle process (4-20mA) meters

(OP)
Hello all,
I have a client that wants a standard (DIN96, 90 degree movement) meter that has capability to accept two 4-20mA signals and have the pivot point for both meters in the corner, i.e. stacked one on top of the other. The reason for this is we wish to display both a setpoint as well as a real value on the one meter. I've looked at Crompton and similar, and haven't been able to locate anything like this. Our client states that he has seen the meters, and such a thing is likely to exist. Has anyone ever seen, or better still, knows where we may be able to obtain such a beast? Location is Australia, though in todays climate, obtaining such a thing overseas isn't unheard of.

Your help would be appreciated.

RE: Multi Needle process (4-20mA) meters

The only ones I have seen with both needles pivoted in the same corner are demand needles, but I haven't seen everything.
Square housings with two needles pivoted in opposite corners may be more common.

That's a nice link, krkautomation.

Nice work guys. I'd seen the opposite corner pivot meters as well, but this really wasn't what the client was chasing. However, and it almost became a python-esque reference to holy grail like objects, it was declared that the meters had indeed been seen, and that they did exist.

Actually getting such a meter in the desired style with the appropriate interface still seems to be a battle, but confirmation of the existence of the device is a great step in the right direction.

Many thanks to you all.

Isn't that the same catalogue as krkautomation lested a couple of posts ago (on a different website)?

Ha, yes. So it is. Now I suppose FreddyNurk can buy two of them.

Or maybe one with two needles? ponder
