sharing licenses

(OP)
Has anyone ever tried to setup an agreement with a company in another part of the world to use each others licenses overnight?

Is it legal?

P.S. were situated in Western Europe.

RE: sharing licenses

Definitely possible, but highly illegal I'd guess, unless you have a prior agreement with UGS.

RE: sharing licenses

I don't believe this is allowed by the license agreement your company signed with UGS.

I used to work for a global company and we had designers in the US, India and Germany. The UGS license that our division had prohibited the usage of our licenses in the foreign plants. Another division had paid for an international license and they shared licenses with the design center in India.
