Hi,

Which are most commonly used standards for mechanical testing of the subject?

Can you be a little more explicit.
Do you want to test the resin, or do you want to test a layup using a particular core or resin system.

Try:
ASTM C297 - Tensile strength of flat sandwich construction in flatwise plane,
ASTM C393 - Flexure test of flat sandwich construction,
ASTM D635 - Burning,
ASTM D1781 - Climbinmg drum peel test for adhesion,
ASTM D3418 - Glass transition by DSC + ASTM E1356 - Assignment of Tg, or ASTM E1545 - Tg by TMA

I want to test the sandwich as a complete system consisting
epoxy resin + glass fibres on both sides of core material.

It looks though Avior has most of the useful tests nailed.
You might also try ASTM C273. Shear properties of sandwich core materials.
