Text Profile Issues

Text Profile Issues

Text Profile Issues

(OP)
Hello!

I've inserted a text profile onto my sheet metal tab (SE v19).  When I move to finish an error message appears telling me that there are multiple profiles and that "a profile cannot be completely inside another profile".  Does anyone have any tips on how to fix this issue?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thx

RE: Text Profile Issues

If it's a cutout feature, it should work fine. If it's a tab, it's normal it fails because this feature supports only one contour(the word SOS having four contours for example).

If you want to add material with those letters. They cannot be a real sheet metal feature in most cases (common thickness), so the tab command is not appropriate.

So, you need to click 'switch to Part' in the Applications menu. Create your text using the protrusion command. and switch back to sheet metal afterwards.
