Shut off face in a mold.

Shut off face in a mold.

Shut off face in a mold.

(OP)
Hi I am new to mold design, because I am new to moulded parts.
I have designed a clip into an injection moulding.
The access hole to eliminate the undercut, has its own function, and is not a silhouette of the clip. I was not surprised that SWX could not automatically create a core and cavity, because the shut off face is not defined by anything.
Any tips or tricks out there?

Colin

Thanks Scott,
I will go through your example.
